Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of problems can you help with?

My approach is rooted in Transactional Analysis (TA), and I also draw from Gestalt therapy, mindfulness practices, breathwork, and other body-mind tools to support your well-being. As a trainee counsellor working under supervision, I offer support for common life challenges. This includes areas like managing anxiety, coping with stress, low mood, building self-esteem and confidence, or navigating relationship difficulties and feelings of loss. If you're facing something not listed here, please feel free to reach out. We can discuss your needs and determine if I am the right person to support you within my current scope of practice

How do I schedule an appointment?

If you’d like to book a session or have any questions, just send me an email.
I aim to reply within 48 hours to arrange a time for a free 10–20 minute phone conversation. This initial chat gives us a chance to talk about what you're looking for, and see if working together feels like the right fit. We’ll then schedule your first full counselling session.

What can I expect during the first therapy session?

Each session lasts 50 minutes, and we’ll work at your pace. In our first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore your hopes and goals. We’ll also go over a therapeutic contract, which outlines how we’ll work together—covering things like confidentiality, boundaries, and session structure—so that everything is clear and supportive from the beginning.

Would I need to come to counselling every week?

No. You don't necessarily need to attend therapy every week. What's most important for effective counselling is a consistent and agreed-upon structure for our meetings. This regularity helps build our therapeutic relationship, fosters trust, and allows us to properly explore your concerns.

I have an embarrassing problem, how do I know It will remain confidential?

Everything shared here is confidential and respected. This is your safe space. Confidentiality may be limited only by immediate risk of serious harm to you or others, or danger to a child/vulnerable adult. If safety requires breaking confidentiality, I will aim to discuss it with you first.

You're not alone, and your voice matters.
