My Story

             Hi, I’m Maria , a Romanian-born therapist-in-training living in the UK for over 14 years. I’m currently training in Transactional Analysis counselling under professional supervision with Elan Training and Development, and I hold a Master’s in Psychology, focused on Mental Health and Wellbeing. I’m a member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Before becoming a therapist, I went through my own periods of confusion, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. Therapy gave me space to slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with myself — and it’s that kind of space I now offer to others.

I work with Romanian and English-speaking clients, many of whom are dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, burnout, difficult relationships, or identity struggles. I bring a style that’s warm, calm, and gently curious — we go at your pace, with no pressure to be anything but real.
As someone who lives between cultures and is also a parent, I understand how layered and demanding life can be. I offer therapy in both English and Romanian, and I work online only, so you can access support wherever feels safe and comfortable.
